WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapy interventions can include:

  • Helping patients with different abilities to participate fully in school, home activities, and social situations

  • Helping patients recovering from injury to regain skills

  • Helping to provide supports for patients experiencing physical and cognitive changes

Occupational therapy services typically include:

  • An individualized evaluation

  • A customized intervention plan

  • An outcomes evaluation or progress check

Each therapy session or treatment plan can look very different for each client depending on their goals and interests!  Explore the drop down menus above for more information about different areas of treatment at Eastside Occupational Therapy.

The goal of occupational therapy is not to diagnose difficulties but to IMPROVE them. Here at Eastside OT, our therapists work to help patients of all ages participate in the activities that are meaningful for them.
